The body research, or the research of its simulacrum, is the leitmotiv of Sergio Zavattieri’s pictures. They often mark an “uncomfortable” materiality, but surprisingly ready to show the unutterable aspect. However often the portrait shows dolls with an expression and the look unusually animated, the portrait theme has a basic role. This happens as if now the only possible vitality belongs to the cliché, to the stereotypes, or simulacrums.
